A beloved Wigan bakery has started re-opening its shops11-06-2020
Galloways reopened 14 of its 25 pie shops on Wednesday following the closure of them all during the UK's coronavirus lockdown. Shops to have reopened include those in Hindley, Aspull and Standish.
However all of the Galloways' Wigan town centre branches will remain closed - for now.
And the shops have opened their doors with a number of social distancing measures in place. Bays have been marked out in shops with a limited a number of customers allowed in at one time. Shoppers will also be asked to make contactless payments where possible and provide sanitiser stations.
The stores have reopened with a limited product range.
Galloways set to reopen some of its shops next week20-05-2020
Galloways closed all 25 of its branches almost two months ago after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a nationwide lockdown.
On Tuesday (May 20) the bakery revealed on Twitter that it will start a phased re-opening of stores after the Bank Holiday weekend.
The bakery plans to open a number of shops next Wednesday (May 27).
